Pro Bowl QB Andrew Luck and MLB All-Star Mike Trout Bust a Move in ’70s Disco Dance-Off (Video)

Indianapolis Colts quarterback and Los Angeles Angels star player don paisley shirts and flares for Bodyarmor “Thanks” campaign from creative director Kobe Bryant

We guarantee you have never seen Andrew Luck and Mike Trout quite like this before.

The Indianapolis Colts quarterback and Los Angeles Angels center fielder swapped their team jerseys for paisley shirts, flares and eye-popping patterns in an epic disco battle as part of Bodyarmor’s “Thanks” campaign that premiered Wednesday morning.

Instead of touchdowns and home runs, fans were treated to retro dance moves like the robot, plus some serious hip swiveling in the “Disco Battle” ad from creative director and NBA legend, Kobe Bryant.

The cheeky skit promoting the energy drink even takes a swipe at a beverage giant, Gatorade.

“Andrew Luck and Mike Trout wouldn’t get into an outdated disco battle, so why would they choose an outdated sports drink?” the voice-over asks. “Thanks, Gatorade, we’ll take it from here.”

The “Disco Battle” ad comes on the heels of James Harden’s and Donovan Mitchell’s NCAA Tournament Bracket-themed ad, which was part two of the “Thanks” campaign and debuted last week ahead of the NCAA Tournament tipping-off. Bodyarmor is the Official Sports Drink of the NCAA and NCAA Championships.
