Ratings: ‘Voice’ Pushes NBC to Win

J.J. Abrams' "Revolution" rises 13 percent in key demo

NBC's "The Voice" held steady to hand the network a decisive ratings win Monday night, according to preliminary numbers.

NBC drew a commanding first place in the advertiser-cherished 18-49 demographic with a 4.3 rating/11 share and took a close second in total viewers with 11.5 million. The third battle round of "The Voice" at 8 p.m. drew even with last week for a 4.8/12 and attracted 12.9 million total viewers. The new drama "Revolution" at 10 grew 13 percent over last week, posting a 3.4/9 and taking 8.8 million total viewers.

While CBS's numbers are subject to revision due to local NFL preemptions, the network currently holds second place in ratings and third in total viewers with a 2.6/7 and 8.2 million. Most of CBS's primetime lineup showed modest growth over last week, with the exception of "2 Broke Girls," which was slightly down. "How I Met Your Mother" at 8 posted a 3.2/9 and took 8 million total viewers, while the new "Partners" rose 11 percent from last week for a 2.1/6 and drew 6.2 million total viewers. "2 Broke Girls" at 9 had a 3.3/8 and 9.2 million total viewers. "Mike & Molly" at 9:30 posted a 3.0/7 and 9 million total viewers. "Hawaii 5-0" at 10 inched up to a 2.0/5 and received 8.4 million total viewers.

ABC took third place in ratings and second in total viewers with a 2.1/5 and 12.6 million. "Dancing With the Stars" at 8 decreased slightly from last week, posting a 2.1/5 and taking 13.5 million total viewers, the largest audience of the night. "Castle" at 10 was down slightly for a 2.0/5 and had 10.9 million total viewers.

Fox ran the 2012 National League baseball championship throughout the night. While the nature of live sports renders the network's numbers approximate, the network currently holds fourth place in ratings and total viewers with a 1.3/3 and 4.8 million total viewers.

The CW, which averaged a 0.5/1 and 915,000 total viewers throughout the night, saw gains for "90120" at 8, which climbed in the demo to a 0.6/2 and jumped 13 percent in total viewers to 1.1 million. "Gossip Girl" the following hour was flat with last week, posting a 0.4/1 and 762,000 total viewers.
