Trans model Amiyah Scott has reportedly left the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” franchise over her portrayal on the reality series.
Scott, who was rumored to be joining the cast in August in wake of franchise touchstone NeNe Leakes’ exit, has reportedly bailed after a month of shooting because higher ups tried to frame her as a femme fatale.
According toTMZ, the production was “prodding Amiyah to sexualize herself … wearing lingerie and acting like a vixen.”
Scott had designs on becoming a trans role model, the report said, educating audiences in the vein of Caitlyn Jenner. The earnest storyline did not sit well, the report suggested, and Scott left.
A spokesperson for Bravo did not immediately return TheWrap’s request for comment.
Born Arthur, Scott has openly talked about her transition on social media and describes herself as a transgender model, makeup guru, weave specialist and “unicorn with an invisible horn” in her Twitter profile.
She also has her own website where she offers makeup advice to followers.
