Action star Jean Claude Van Damme has suffered a minor heart attack on the set of his latest movie, "Weapon," reports TwitchFilm.net.
Messages left by TheWrap for the film's producers — the Motion Picture Corporation of America — were not immediately returned on Tuesday.
The production recently set up shop in New Orleans, but filming was stalled due to unexplained "complications." Apparently, Van Damme's health was the issue.
The 50-year-old actor was admitted to a New Orleans hospital briefly where he was met by his wife, Gladys Portgues, before they returned to Belgium together.
Van Damme is expected to make a full recovery.
