Rihanna is out of this world in her new music video for “Sledgehammer,” a single from the “Star Trek Beyond” soundtrack.
Viewers are transported through space to a desert like cosmic planet where the beautiful alien-esque Riri seems to be its only inhabitant. Even without eyebrows and a tattooed face, Rihanna manages to resemble a goddess with her red Grecian wrap billowing in the wind.
Things seem to be looking peaceful on the unidentified planet as the pop star sings, but as soon as the beat drops hoards of battleships come flying from around the corner and bad gal Riri appears to be distressed.
The R&B star also appears to have some magical powers too, as she moves dirt and boulders just by raising her hands. “Sledgehammer” ends with Rihanna‘s face in the cosmos. How she got there, we don’t know. Probably more space magic.
“Star Trek Beyond” opens in theaters on July 22.
