Rob Lowe Goes Into Witness Protection on ‘The Grinder’ Cold Open (Exclusive Video)

Dennis Haysbert guest-stars on Fox sitcom

Rob Lowe becomes a busboy in the newest cold open from the Fox sitcom “The Grinder.”

In the latest scene from the comedy’s show-within-a-show, Lowe’s Mitch Grinder is seen wearing a hairnet and trying to contain his handsomeness, as flashbacks reveal his lawyer character is actually entering witness protection.

Dennis Haysbert guest-stars as the FBI agent giving Grinder his new identity, revealing that all of his loved ones, including love interests Emmanuelle Chriqui and Arielle Kebbel, must be left behind.

It’s a tamer than usual scene from the sitcom’s show-within-a-show, and mirrors the episode, which will see Lowe’s actor character Dean Sanderson decide to shed his “Grinder” persona and refuse to listen as little brother Stewart (Fred Savage) believes there’s a conspiracy afoot against their law firm.

“The Grinder” airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET on Fox.
