Robert Pattison goes on the run to get his brother out of jail in the first trailer for A24’s “Good Time.”
“Good Time” is about a botched bank robbery which lands Constantine Niklas’ (Pattinson) brother in jail. In the quest to get his brother out as soon as possible, he spirals into a world of violence and mayhem as he races against the clock to save both his brother and himself.
“You get another ten grand, your brother will get out,” he gets told by the bail bond employee in the trailer.
Ben and Joshua Safdie directed the film, while Ronald Bronstein wrote the script with Joshua. Jennifer Jason Leigh, Barkhad Abdi, Ben Safdie and Buddy Duress also star.
Since starring in the “Twilight” franchise, Pattinson has focused largely on indie roles. He starred alongside Guy Pearce in the post-apocalyptic film “The Rover” in 2014. He also appeared in David Cronenberg‘s bizarre look at the entertainment industry, “Maps to the Stars,” in February 2015. His two latest projects include “Life” and “The Lost City of Z.”

Sebastian Bear-McClard of Elara Pictures produced ‘Good Time.” Bear-McClard, Bronstein and the Safdies previously collaborated on the film “Heaven Knows What,” a hybrid picture that blended documentary and narrative.
“Good Time” will have its world premiere In Competition at the Cannes Film Festival next week, and is set for a U.S. debut on August 11.
