Robin Thicke Recruits Dear Old Dad for New Track ‘Ain’t No Hat’ (Audio)

TV's Dr. Jason Seaver and his grandson chime in on the tune

It's a family affair on Robin Thicke's new song, "Ain't No Hat."

Three generations of Thicke men — father Alan of "Growing Pains" fame, singer Robin and his three-year-old son — chime in on the disco-sounding track. According to the tune, there is no appropriate headwear available for certain occasions.

Alan and Robin co-wrote the song, which is on Thicke's upcoming "Blurred Lines" album, his sixth. Son Julian kicks off the track's vocals.

Aside from playing one of TV's most beloved dads, Dr. Jason Seaver on "Growing Pains," Alan is also a songwriter. He wrote the opening theme songs for sitcoms of the same era, including "Diff'rent Strokes" and "The Facts of Life."

"Blurred Lines" lands in stores on Aug. 12.
