"Cinderella," the classic Rodgers & Hammerstein musical, will make its Broadway debut in 2013 at the Broadway Theatre.
Mark Brokaw is directing the musical, which was originally written for television but has never been performed on Broadway.

Tony Award winners Victoria Clark ("The Light in the Piazza") and Harriet Harris ("Thoroughly Modern Millie," "The Drowsy Chaperone") will join previously announced cast members Laura Osnes ("Grease," "Bonnie & Clyde") and Santino Fontana ("Brighton Beach Memoirs," "Sons of the Prophet").
Douglas Carter Beane ("The Little Dog Laughed") is writing a new book based on the original by Oscar Hammerstein. The new musical will feature classic songs from the original score, including "In My Own Little Corner," "Impossible/It's Possible," "Ten Minutes Ago" and "Do I Love You Because You're Beautiful?" as well as songs from the Rodgers & Hammerstein "trunk."

The television version debuted in 1957, starring Julie Andrews (above). It was remade in 1965, starring Lesley Anne Warren in the title role, and Ginger Rogers and Walter Pidgeon as the Queen and King. A third version aired in 1997, starring pop singer Brandy and Whitney Houston as the Fairy Godmother.
"Cinderella" is produced by Robyn Goodman, Stephen Kocis and Jill Furman in association with Center Theatre Group in Los Angeles.
