Bryn Mooser, the co-founder and CEO of the immersive entertainment unit RYOT, has left the company, TheWrap has confirmed. Going forward, Zeda Stone, who has been serving as RYOT’s head of business development, will lead the unit, which will continue to report to Alex Wallace, GM of News, Entertainment and Studios at Verizon Media Group.

Mooser quietly exited the company last month “to pursue new opportunities,” said a spokesperson for Verizon Media Group, the parent company of Oath.

“As one of the founders of RYOT, he built this emerging brand to be an Emmy-nominated powerhouse of creative storytelling. We thank him for all that he has contributed to the company,” the spokesperson added.

RYOT, which was co-founded by Mooser in 2012, was acquired by the Huffington Post in 2016 and eventually became part of Oath through Verizon’s acquisition of AOL and Yahoo. The company, which focuses on immersive entertainment, has produced 360 and VR films for partners including The New York Times, NPR, The Associated Press, Huffington Post and Sierra Club.
