“Earp: Saints for Sinners” has only been a comic book for a matter of weeks now, but it's already being adapted for the big screen with "Spider-Man" director Sam Raimi attached.
The project is backed by DreamWorks and will be written by Matt Cirulnick, who co-wrote the comic book that Radical Studios debuted just this summer, individuals familiar with the project told TheWrap. Radical plans to unveil its plans for the film at its Thursday panel at Comic-Con in San Diego.

The comic re-imagines the story of Wyatt Earp, the legendary lawman, gambler and gunslinger, but is set in a dystopian future ravaged by economic collapse. Looking at Radical’s website (the source of the image of Earp, left), it’s evident that iconic Western characters Doc Holliday, Josephine Marcus (Earp’s wife) and Jesse James play a part.
Mandeville Films partners David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman will produce with Radical president Barry Levine. Raimi’s production company, Star Road Entertainment, will also have a role.
Mandeville Films , Radical Studios and Raimi are all represented by CAA.
