Samantha Bee Roasts ‘Truly Bats–t’ Conservative Media Outlet Prager U (Video)

“Prager U is as much of a real college as Monsters University,” the “Full Frontal” host says

Samantha Bee had some choice words to describe one conservative media outlet Wednesday, and this time it wasn’t Fox News.

It was Prager U, a website she calls “as much of a real college as Monsters University.”

“If your aim is just to scare people, at least one of them offers an actual diploma,” she said.

The “Full Frontal” host has a point — the Prager U website has a disclaimer that says “Prager U is not an accredited academic institution… but it is a place where you are free to learn.”

But unlike Fox, which “continues it’s lifelong quest to scare your grandparents into hoarding Franklinmint coins,” Bee says, Prager U’s target audiences is the children and teens that make up Generation Z.

By targeting those demographics with colorful graphics and propaganda dressed up to look like facts, the site has gotten billions of views on its videos. But “don’t worry,” Bee says, “their videos are very normal.”

She presented clips of several Prager U videos promoting messages like, “If sex isn’t real, why would any woman feel violated by an uninvited touch?” and “When Planned Parenthood says its devoted to women’s reproductive rights, what it means is it’s devoted to aborting as many babies a possible.” Also, this gem: “The left is destroying the Boy Scouts.”

The founder of Prager U is Dennis Prager, who Bee describes as “a radio host turned digital mogul, and man who definitely eats hardboiled eggs on an airplane.” Prager is also a “prolific writer,” she said, making a point to highlight a 2008 blog post entitled “When a Woman Isn’t In the Mood: Part 1.”

“Prager U is actually dangerous,” Bee continued. “They’re reaching a new younger audience with bulls–t conservative propaganda. They trick kids into thinking their videos are educational.”
