Sarah Huckabee Sanders is getting some colorful reactions on Twitter after calling the spate of anthem protests by players in the National Football League a “pretty black and white” issue.

“I don’t think there’s much to clarify. It’s pretty black and white there,” Sanders said while dismissing a reporter’s questions about Trump’s Twitter rants on the controversy.

Sanders’ unfortunate choice of words had Twitter seeing red.

“LOL at @SarahHuckabee for saying the NFL issue is ‘pretty black and white” and not even getting the irony of her own words,” said author Sarah Colonna.

CNN commentator Keith Boykin told his followers: “Sarah Huckabee Sanders is right on this point. It is ‘black and white.’ White lives matter to Trump. Black lives don’t.”

“Can’t make this sh– up,” tweeted another.

Trump kicked up a media firestorm Friday when he suggested during a rally in Alabama that coaches should get the “son of a b—-” players off the field if they continued to kneel. The comments triggered widespread protests from athletes, the league and coaches, many of whom condemned Trump’s comments.

The president continued his assault on the sports world with a series of tweets slamming NFL’s ratings and encouraging fans to boycott upcoming games.
