White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was a guest on ABC’s “The View” Wednesday morning to talk about what it’s like working in the White House, and she said it’s not all that different from being a mom.

“Well, I’m already up,” Sanders said to Whoopi Goldberg, after the host asked her what it’s like dealing with early morning tweets from the president and her three children, ages five, three and two. “As a parent, you’re up, you know, 24/7 a day.”

Her young children have “perfectly prepared me to deal with the White House press corps,” Sanders said. “I get to answer the same question all day long, and I’ve gotten pretty good at saying ‘no.’ So, I think my kids have been a perfect foundation.”

Sanders added, that while it may not be caught on camera, “a lot of times I get back to the individual reporter… I have reporters in and out of my office all throughout the day.”

“Also, as you know, most of us live with a device in our hand, so I’m in contact with them 24 hours, seven days a week, constantly responding to different questions and so a lot of that may not be done in the briefing room, but it’s done at other times throughout the day,” she said.
