‘Saved by the Bell’ Star Dustin Diamond Arrested After Allegedly Stabbing Bar Patron

Actor who played Screech charged in Wisconsin after allegedly stabbing a man during a Christmas bar brawl

“Saved By the Bell” star Dustin Diamond was arrested on Christmas at around midnight in Port Washington, Wisc., after allegedly stabbing a man during a bar fight. The 37-year-old actor was charged with multiple misdemeanors on Friday, stemming from his involvement.

The incident occurred at the Grand Avenue Saloon Thursday night shortly before midnight. Once police arrived, Diamond had reportedly fled the scene in an SUV with his 27-year-old girlfriend, who hasn’t been identified by name. The two of them were apprehended nearby and taken into custody.

She was released on her own recognizance, while his bail was reportedly set at $10,000.

On Friday the Ozaukee County DA charged Diamond with second degree recklessly endangering safety, a class-A misdemeanor; carrying a concealed weapon, a class-A misdemeanor; and disorderly conduct, use of a dangerous weapon, a class-B misdemeanor. His girlfriend has been charged with disorderly conduct, a class-B misdemeanor.

According to the police report, the incident started with an altercation at the bar. Once the fight escalated, Diamond allegedly stabbed the unidentified victim, who did not incur life-threatening wounds, has been treated and is recovering at home.

The police report also indicated that the switchblade was recovered in Diamond’s vehicle at the time of the actor’s arrest.

Representatives for Diamond declined to comment when contacted by TheWrap.
