Sean Penn ‘Suspicious’ of Wyclef Jean’s Haiti Bid

The outspoken actor and activist calls Jean a ‘non-presence’

Sean Penn isn't shy about what he thinks of Wyclef Jean's Haitian presidential bid. In an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer, Penn lets loose on Jean's motives, accusing the musician of being too close to corporate interests. "I'm very suspicious of it, simply because he as ambassador at large has been virtually silent. For those of us in Haiti, he's been a non-presence," Penn says.
