Perhaps Sean Spicer wasn’t as popular at the 2017 Emmy Awards as all those backstage selfies would have made you think.
On Wednesday’s “Conan,” guest Billy Eichner said that the one actor in the awards show green room who would even talk to the former Trump White House Press Secretary.
“I’m standing there with Jim Parsons who’s getting ready to go on, and no one would talk to Sean Spicer,” Eichner recalled. “The only person who would talk to him — I am not kidding — was Young Sheldon … from the ‘Big Bang’ spinoff.”
His name is Ian Armitage, by the way, and the kid’s like nine years old. Even that little boy rolled his eyes at the encounter — as if to say “aw, s—,” in Eichner’s words — when he learned it was the real Sean Spicer.
“Young Sheldon has seen it all, Conan,” the “Billy on the Street” star finished his story.
