Never underestimate the power of CGI.
During a segment on “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” Meyers told his audience that he found a trailer for “Avengers: Age of Ultron” that had been released before any special effects had been added.
In the trailer, we see Scarlett Johansson in her role of Black Widow as she drops from an aircraft onto the street below via motorcycle.
That’s when things take a turn toward the cheap. Iron Man, War Machine, the Incredible Hulk and even Spider-Man appear in this latest trailer, although they look decidedly less cool in this version for some reason.
Fortunately, the special effects will be fully rendered when “Avengers: Age of Ultron” opens in theaters May 1.
