"She's Out of My League" star Alice Eve has been cast in Barry Sonnenfeld's oft-delayed franchise film "Men in Black 3," TheWrap confirmed Wednesday.

Eve, who also played nanny to Charlotte (Kristin Davis) in "Sex and the City 2," will play a younger version of the Olivia character made famous by Emma Thompson in earlier "Men in Black" installments.

On Tuesday, it was reported that the Columbia Pictures movie will extend a hiatus it has been on since December so filmmakers can retool aspects of the script.

The big-budget 3D film starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones is scheduled to be released May 12, 2012.
