"Snow White and the Huntsman," the Chris Hemsworth-Kristen Stewart-Charlize Theron take on the old fairy tale, looks pretty cool in a trailer Universal released Monday.
It also acknowledges — if unintentionally — that other "Snow White" movie.
The first two words Charlize Theron utters in the new trailer are: "Mirror, mirror."
It makes sense that Theron, who plays the evil queen, would use the famous line, "mirror, mirror on the wall, who is fairest of them all." But considering Relativity is releasing its own Snow White tale on March 30 — and that the movie is called "Mirror, Mirror" — it's worth a chuckle.
Otherwise, it looks dark and compelling. And it reminds viewers that "Snow White and the Huntsman" is "from the producer of 'Alice in Wonderland.'"
Good thing to remember. "Alice" delivered Disney more than $1 billion at the worldwide box office.
"Snow White and the Huntsman" hits theates June 1.
