‘StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void Trailer’ Teases Extinction-Level Threat

Game expansion set for Nov. 10 release

Fans of Activision Blizzard’s “StarCraft” games still have a few days to wait for the series’ next installment to drop, but at least they have a new trailer to hold them over.

The full-length trailer for “StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void,” released Friday, teases an extinction-level threat that will unite all three factions in the game.

The new installment is being billed as an expansion pack, but users don’t have to own a previous version in order to play.

The trailer was released during the company’s BlizzCon convention, currently taking place in Anaheim, Calif. “StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void” is set to be released Nov. 10.

Activision Blizzard announced Friday the formation of Activision Blizzard Studios, a film and TV unit set to develop the gaming company’s huge game franchises, including “Call of Duty,” “Diablo” and “Candy Crush.”
