Stephen Colbert Mocks Ivanka Trump’s $3,000 Thanksgiving Clam Centerpiece (Video)

“You know where they aren’t everywhere? The ocean. Because giant saltwater clams are endangered,” the “Late Show” host points out

If you have family coming over for Thanksgiving this year and your house isn’t decorated yet, as Stephen Colbert says: “Don’t worry, there’s still time to worry.”

The “Late Show” host used his Thanksgiving Eve broadcast to highlight that Ivanka Trump’s website has plenty of tips and tricks to help you prepare for the big turkey day — including a centerpiece made of a giant clam shell that costs as much as $3,000.

Ivanka Trump’s website claims the shells “are everywhere in home decor right now,” Colbert noted.

“You know where they aren’t everywhere? The ocean. Because giant saltwater clams are endangered,” Colbert said.

The CBS host also lampooned the Trump site’s advice on “5 Ways to Make Great Small Talk” over holiday gatherings with the family.

“My dad is the president. I have an office in the White House, yet I’m not complicit,” Colbert said in an imitation of the first daughter and presidential adviser. “Did you make these potatoes?”
