“Stranger Things” Part 2 is so close we can practically taste the Eggo waffles. But it’s been more than a year since the first season premiered on Netflix. Lucky for us, star Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) has a quick breakdown, courtesy of Teen Vogue.
To prepare you for the upcoming season, Matarazzo is using iconic objects to tell the story of season one, including “Dungeons and Dragons” pieces, waffles, a radio, Christmas lights and Steve’s baseball bat, in a video from Teen Vogue.
He starts out explaining how Will (Noah Schnapp) goes missing, how the crew meets telekinetic Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and how she knows who Will is. He quickly mentions some more characters, like Barb (Shannon Purser), Sheriff Hopper (David Harbour), Nancy (Natalia Dyer) and Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder).
Matarazzo’s charming storytelling can be summed up in the words “smarticle particles” and “because logic.” For his full breakdown–and an epic impression of the Demogorgon–watch the full clip above.
“Stranger Things” returns to Netflix Friday, October 27.
