Brock Lesnar may have finally met his match — something WWE will exploit in the near future for an actual match.
As if Braun Strowman power-slamming “The Beast Incarnate” through two announce tables wasn’t enough to satisfy Sunday’s “SummerSlam” main event, the aptly monikered “Monster Among Men” dumped the third ringside desk onto the WWE Universal Champion’s already bruised body.
Lesnar was carted off after gamely taking those rough bumps, seemingly turning the evening’s Fatal 4-Way into a Triple Threat match between remaining competitors Strowman, Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe. However, Paul Heyman’s top client would return to spoil everyone’s party, keeping the title around his (superhero-proportioned) waist.
The battle — and this table spot in-particular — really earned the WWE Universe’s “This is awesome!” chants. Expect Vince McMahon & Co. to hold Strowman vs. Lesnar one-on-one for a big pay-per-view down the road — perhaps all the way until next year’s “WrestleMania.”
Until then, watch the video above. The devastating desk-dump comes around the 4:40 mark of match-action highlights.
