Sylvester Stallone, Danny DeVito, Ian McKellen Lead ‘Animal Crackers’ Voice Cast

Scott Christian Sava will co-write and co-direct the animated feature film for Blue Dream Studios

AnimalCrackers_Poster_05Sylvester Stallone, Danny DeVito and Ian McKellen will lend their distinctive voices to the animated feature “Animal Crackers,” it was announced Thursday by Blue Dream Studios.

The voice cast also includes Patrick Warburton, Gilbert Gottfried, Raven-Symoné, Harvey Fierstein, James Arnold Taylor, Tara Strong and Lydia Taylor.

Scott Christian Sava and Tony Bancroft will co-direct from a script Sava wrote with Dean Lorey.

“Animal Crackers” follows a family whose life is turned upside down when they inherit a rundown circus and a mysterious box of Animal Crackers, which magically change the person who eats them into the animal they have eaten — including monkeys, giraffes, lions, tigers and bears.

“When I was writing ‘Animal Crackers’ I had specific voices in my head. Certain characters I wrote with actors in mind. Horatio was always Sir Ian McKellen. Brock was totally Patrick Warburton. Bullet-Man could be no one else but Stallone! To find out that each and every one of these actors have agreed to come on board this film and bring these characters to life… I’m flipping out,” said Sava.

Sava is producing through his Blue Dream Studios along with George Lee and Marcus Englefield of Storyoscopic Films, voice/casting director Jamie Thomason and Leiming Guan.

Sava and Animal Crackers LTD. recently announced their partnership with the largest distributor in China, the China Film Group. Already well into production, the film is set to be completed in the summer of 2016 and has tapped Odins Eye Entertainment to handle international sales.
