Tara Palmer-Tomkinson, a British socialite, reality star and former “It girl,” was found dead at her London home Wednesday. She was 45.

Palmer-Tomkinson had appeared on a number of reality shows in the U.K. including “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!,” “Top Gear” and “Blind Date.”

The former model and infamous party girl revealed three months ago that she was receiving treatment for a non-malignantbrain tumor, The Guardian reported. However, her death is currently being treated as “unexplained.”

After a London ambulance crew was called out at 1:40 p.m. GMT, “a woman, aged in her 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene,” a spokesman for the Metropolitan police said.

“At this early stage the death is being treated as unexplained. We are not treating this death as suspicious. The coroner has been informed and the next of kin has been informed.”

Tara was the daughter of former British Olympic skier and landowner Charles Palmer-Tomkinson, who is a close friend of Prince Charles.

She was well known on the London party scene during the 1990s, frequently landing in the British tabloids for her wild nights out on the town and high-profile battle with drugs.

In 1999, she entered rehab for cocaine addiction after her septum collapsed.

However, Palmer-Tomkinson recently told reporters that she had backed down from her partying ways.

“I’m not the person I was, I’m much calmer. I don’t go to places like Ibiza because the party world scares me,” she said, USA Today reported.

Following the news of her death, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall released a statement saying they were “deeply saddened and our thoughts are so much with the family.”
