Tatiana Maslany Surprise Emmy Win Sends Twitter #CloneClub Into Hysterics

“I’m actually screaming at home. Thankfully no one else is here!” said one excited fan

After four years of playing at least five different characters on BBC America’s “Orphan Black,” Tatiana Maslany finally won her first Emmy, and Twitter reacted accordingly.

“FINALLY TATIANA MASLANY,” said one excited fan.

“I’m actually screaming at home. Thankfully no one else is here!” said another.

The actress immediately began trending on Twitter following her popular and eagerly awaited win.

“What will Tatiana Maslany stans do now that their efforts have come to fruition? Get outside? Enjoy a brunch? Visit the zoo?” one user joked about the actress’ dedicated fanbase, who had been campaigning for her to win an Emmy for the entire duration of the show.

Maslany was also nominated last year for Best Actress in a Drama. On “Orphan Black,” Maslany plays at least five identical clones: Sarah, Allison, Cosima, Rachel and Helena, in addition to various other clones who pop in and out of the sci-fi story.

In her category, Maslany beat out Robin Wright of “House of Cards,” Viola Davis of “How to Get Away With Murder,” Taraji P. Henson of “Empire” and first-time nominee Keri Russell of “The Americans.”
