Taylor Swift and Beyonce are two of the biggest stars in the world, but Swift is definitely the champ in terms of total earnings.
Swift earned $170 million over the past year, more than three times Beyonce’s $54 million haul, according to new rankings released by Forbes. Of course, $54 million is nothing to laugh at. No doubt, Beyonce will turn these lemons into “Lemonade.”
It is also important to note that Beyonce’s Formation Tour had not concluded at the time the measuring period concluded. The tour grossed over $250 million throughout its run.
Swift’s massive earnings came mostly from her 1989 Tour, which also grossed upwards of $250 million. She also sold over three million albums in the past year, in addition to endorsement deals with Apple, Keds and Diet Coke.
That puts her well ahead of No. 2 on the list, Adele. The “Hello” singer pulled in $80.5 million, mostly from the sales of her megahit album “25.”
Madonna came in at No. 3 on the list with $76.5 million. Her Rebel Heart tour brought in over $170 million, pushing Madonna‘s pre-tax earnings over her career to $1.4 billion.
Rihanna rounded out the top five with $75 million. The “Work” singer toured and released new songs over the last year, in addition to endorsement deals with Dior, Puma and Samsung.
