TBS, TNT Hire Michael Bloom as Senior VP of Unscripted Series and Specials

Executive comes to new position from IMG

Michael Bloom has been hired as the new senior vice president of unscripted series and specials for TBS and TNT. He starts on June 20.

The executive comes to the job following a tenure as senior vice president of IMG’s Original Content group.

Bloom has 25 years experience in television, and his expertise reaches across multiple genres and platforms. He was instrumental in establishing “The Talking Dead” and “Comic Book Men,” two of AMC’s first non-fiction series. He also launched Fox Sports 1.

“We have ambitions to inject some different thinking in the unscripted arena,” said Kevin Reilly, president of TNT and TBS and chief creative officer of Turner Entertainment, in a statement. “I’ve known and worked with Michael for years and I’m looking forward to what comes from having his tremendous energy and relationships aimed at that target.”
