‘The Flash’ Teases an ‘Arrow’ Crossover Kiss in New Trailer (Video)

A teaser of the new CW drama includes a first look at Wentworth Miller as Captain Cold

Captain Cold is coming to town —  along with a far friendlier face — in the latest trailer for “The Flash,” which teases episodes of the new CW drama following the series premiere.

Wentworth Miller is seen for the first time freezing out his enemies as the DC supervillain, while Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen, a.k.a. The Flash, is shown stumbling on his road to being a true superhero.

Meanwhile, his best friend Iris (Candice Patton) catches wind of the heroic deeds of The Flash and starts investigating, not realizing he and Barry are one and the same.

“You think because you can run real fast that you’re invincible?” Barry’s adoptive father Joe (Jesse L. Martin) scolds him.

Barry’s other father figure, Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), encourages Joe to take it easy on the kid, though as of the end of the series premiere, it’s obvious Wells has his own ulterior motives for wanting to encourage Barry to embrace his new role as The Flash.

And Barry’s love life is looking up, as the new trailer also sees the assistant forensics investigator leaning in to plant a kiss on Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), visiting from nearby Starling City and fellow CW comic book adaptation “Arrow.”

The two shows are planning a big crossover event for their respective eighth episodes, but Rickards is expected to cross over first in “The Flash’s” fourth episode.

“The Flash” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.
