‘The Green Inferno’ Gruesome First Red Band Clip Features Gouged Eyeballs, Stuffed Cannibals (Video)

Eli Roth horror film is set for a Sept. 25 release

In the first red band clip for “The Green Inferno,” cannibals engage in a ritual that is grotesque, bloody and full of gore.

In the film, a group of student activists travels to the Amazon to save the rainforest and soon discovers that they are not alone — and that no good deed goes unpunished.

After a long delay, Eli Roth‘s cannibal movie will finally hit theaters on Sept. 25 via Blumhouse’s BH Tilt label, which will release the genre film in collaboration with Universal Pictures and High Top Releasing, a label that uses Focus Features’ distribution capabilities.

The film stars Aaron Burns, Nicolas Martinez, Lorenza Izzo, Ariel Levy, Ignacia Allamand and Eusebio Arenas.

“The Green Inferno” is produced by Roth, Nicolas Lopez, Miguel Asensio, Chris Woodrow and Molly Conners.
