‘The Mick’ Gets an (Almost) Full Second Season

Fox comedy’s Season 2 will now have 20 episodes, three more than it had in Season 1

Don’t worry, “The Mick” fans, Mickey isn’t bailing on the kids anytime soon. Well, she will at least have more opportunities to not bail on them.

Fox has order seven additional episodes of “The Mick” for Season 2, TheWrap has confirmed. This will bring Season 2’s total to 20 episodes, three more than its Season 1 order. So, kinda a full season.

“The Mick” stars Kaitlin Olson as Mickey, an irresponsible degenerate who gets roped into raising her spoiled niece and nephews in their impressive estate in Greenwich, CT, when their parents go on the lam. The series also stars Sofia Black-D’Elia, Thomas Barbusca, Jack Stanton, Carla Jimenez and Scott MacArthur.

Things are looking better and better for the comedy following its move to Tuesdays at 9 p.m. this fall, making it a lead-in for veteran comedy “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”

The move was a pretty strong indication of Fox’s confidence in the show.

“The Mick”s sophomore season debuted with 2.7 million viewers and a 0.9 demo rating, improving nicely on its Season 1 finale numbers.

The series has been doubling its audience when factoring in delayed viewing, Fox noted.
