The Schiff Company Renamed MGMT. Entertainment to Reflect Growth

Founder David Schiff made the announcement with partners Courtney Kivowitz and Christian Donatelli

The Schiff Company has been renamed MGMT. Entertainment, it was announced Friday by partners David Schiff, Courtney Kivowitz and Christian Donatelli.

“The name change is meant as a symbolic acknowledgement of the incredible growth of the company since it’s inception 7-plus years ago. The change further reflects the significant contribution from partners Kivowitz and Donatelli,” said company founder David Schiff.

MGMT. continues to build upon its strong talent roster, exemplified by  Jeff Bridges, Melissa McCarthy, Kevin Bacon, MIchael B. Jordan, Katharine McPhee, Dane DeHaan, Eminem, Sienna Miler, Jane Lynch, Anna Gunn, Aubrey Plaza, Emmy Rossum, Ben Falcone, Sissy Spacek, Helena Bonham Carter and Jennifer Connelly, among many others.

Current 2014 SAG and Golden Globe nominees among MGMT. clients include Ethan Hawke, Keira Knightley, Ellen Burstyn, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Colin Hanks.

Recent manager additions Michael Diamond and Dianne McGunigle have provided added focus toward the expansion of MGMT.’s literary representation and television, digital and film production. The firm also represents Kristina Anderson, whose script “Catherine the Great” topped the 2014 Black List and is being developed by producer Chuck Roven.

FX just picked up “Atlanta,” a pilot developed by and for client Donald Glover, and that’s one of several projects that MGMT. had a hand in producing along with series in active development at HBO, Spike, Fox and elsewhere.

MGMT.’s team of additional managers includes Mimi DiTrani, Adam Isaacs, Risa Shapiro, Kenny Goodman and Kristin Konig.
