Mary L. Trump, Donald Trump’s niece and author of a tell-all book about him and their family, “Too Much And Never Enough,” roasted her uncle’s post-election behavior during a visit to “The View” on Thursday, calling him a “very desperate man.”

As “View” co-host Sara Haines pointed out, Mary grew up with Donald, so she may be able to shed some light on where his head is at right now.

“We’re seeing a very desperate man. Somebody who knows that his best option is to cling to power no matter who gets hurt in the process,” Mary Trump said. “Obviously there really isn’t any way for him to do that legitimately, so he’s going to pursue whatever illegitimate means he has at his disposal.”

She went to voice her opinion that Trump isn’t just hurting himself — he’s hurting the country.

“It’s really troubling, because it’s not just that Donald is hurting himself, which he is doing by continuing to play this out to these absurd lengths. He’s doing serious damage to our democracy, to people’s faith in the American electoral process, and he’s also undermining the legitimacy of the incoming administration, which is going to make it that much harder for President Biden and Vice President Harris to get us out of these interconnected crises that we’re all suffering from.”

In addition to her 2020 best-seller “Too Much and Never Enough,” Mary Trump has another book coming out in July 2021 called “The Reckoning.” According to its Amazon description, the book will “examine America’s national trauma, rooted in our history but dramatically exacerbated by the impact of current events and the Trump administration’s corrupt and immoral policies.”
