Tim Kaine Impersonates Donald Trump, Blasts Him as Tax Cheat (Video)

Democratic VP candidate calls GOP rival a “slick-talking, empty-promising, self-promoting, one-man wrecking crew”

Tim Kaine took the stage of the Democratic Convention on Wednesday to praise party leaders, mock Donald Trump and sprinkle in a bunch of Spanish, which he speaks fluently.

“You know who I don’t trust? Donald Trump. The guy promises a lot. But you might have noticed, he has a habit of saying the same two words after he makes his biggest promises,” Kaine said. “You guys know the words I mean? ‘Believe me.’”

Kaine then busted out his best Trump impersonation: “It’s gonna be great. Believe me! We’re gonna build a wall and make Mexico pay for it. Believe me! We’re gonna destroy ISIS so fat. Believe me!”

Kaine wasn’t done attacking the GOP nominee.

“By the way, does anyone here believe that Donald Trump’s been paying his fair share of taxes? Do you believe he ought to release those tax returns like every other presidential candidate in modern history? Of course he should,” Kaine said. “Donald, what are you hiding?”

He called Trump a “slick-talking, empty-promising, self-promoting, one-man wrecking crew.”

Kaine recalled the Mothers of the Movement who spoke at the convention on Tuesday. “They trust Hillary to keep other mothers and sons and daughters safe,” he said. Kaine, who has a son serving in the U.S. military, said he also trusts Clinton with his son’s life.

The Virginia senator said that Trump’s passion is “himself,” while mentioning Clinton’s achievements while serving as a U.S. senator from New York and as Barack Obama’s first Secretary of State.

He credited Clinton for her role in killing Osama bin Laden and called her “lista,” which means “prepared, battle-tested, rock-solid, up for anything, never backing down” in Spanish, according to the candidate.
