Tina Fey, Margot Robbie Report From Afghanistan in ‘Whiskey Tango Foxtrot’ Trailer (Video)

Comedy formerly known as “Taliban Shuffle” also stars Martin Freeman and Alfred Molina

Tina Fey climbs a couple notches up the hotness scale in the first trailer for “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot,” in which she plays Kim Barker, a reporter embedded with the U.S. army in Afghanistan.

There she meets Margot Robbie‘s character, a fellow journalist, who informs her she may have been a six or seven in New York, but she’s borderline 10 in the Middle East.

But she soon finds herself with much bigger problems as she witnesses the dangers and oddities of war firsthand.

John Requa and Glenn Ficarra directed the movie, which is based on Barker’s memoir “The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan.”

In 2002, Barker (Fey) arrived in Kabul as a journalist who could only speak English and had little idea how to do the “Taliban shuffle” between Afghanistan and Pakistan. As she delved deeper into the region, her love for the hapless countries grew along with her fear for their future stability.

Billy Bob Thornton, Martin Freeman, Josh Charles, Christopher Abbott, Nicholas Braun, Evan Jonigkeit and Alfred Molina also star.

“Whiskey Tango Foxtrot” will be released on Mar. 4.
