In the first “Jack Reacher: Never Go Back” teaser, Tom Cruise returns as the former Army officer/badass one-man wrecking crew.
This time around, Reacher has to help out his old friend Susan Turner (Cobie Smulders) after she is wrongfully accused of espionage. The two are forced to go on the run together when powerful forces decide it is too risky to let Turner live.
Ed Zwick directed the film from a script by Richard Wenk that Zwick recently rewrote with longtime collaborator Marshall Herskovitz.
Christopher McQuarrie directed the first “Jack Reacher” movie, which grossed $218 million worldwide. The sequel will be based on author Lee Child‘s book “Never Go Back.”
“Jack Reacher: Never Go Back” fights its way into theaters on Oct. 21.
