Tom Hiddleston’s Robert De Niro Impression Gets Round of Applause From Robert De Niro (Video)

The “Crimson Peak” star also gets big laughs for impersonating Christopher Walken and Owen Wilson

Robert De Niro appears to approve of Tom Hiddleston‘s impersonation of him.

The “Thor” star, who will next be seen on the big screen in Guillermo del Toro‘s “Crimson Peak,” performed a re-enactment of his favorite scene between De Niro and Al Pacino in Michael Mann‘s 1995 crime drama “Heat” — and played both actors’ parts — while appearing on “The Graham Norton Show.”

“It’s an expression of admiration, just to be clear,” Hiddleston said before cracking up the audience with his impressions, which also included Owen Wilson and Christopher Walken.

After De Niro joined the rest of the studio audience and fellow guests in applauding Hiddleston’s one-man interpretation of a two-man scene, the veteran actor told Hiddleston the scene was his favorite written in Mann’s script.

“This is so meta,” Hiddleston joked. “I feel like I’ve gone into a parallel universe.”
