Elizabeth Murdoch’s vertical video-focused studio Vertical Networks has announced a new CEO — Jesus Chavez, who will be replacing Tom Wright. Chavez joins Vertical Networks from Latino-focused digital-first studio mitu where he served as the company’s Chief Operating Officer.

“We have enjoyed explosive growth at Vertical Networks and are excited that Jesús will bring his extensive experience to help us further scale our business,” said Elisabeth Murdoch, Founder of Vertical Networks.

According to a release, Wright will remain a strategic advisor to the business and will continue to operate Murdoch’s early stage investment firm Freelands Ventures.
