Megan Fox: (Obvious Photo Slide Alert!) With a pretty pout nearly identical to Jolie's and a physique perfect for spelunking, this brunette is an obvious choice. But that doesn't mean she's the best choice. Keep on clicking.

Minka Kelly: She sure has the looks and (briefly) showed she's got the moves on ABC's "Charlies Angels" revival. Like Fox, she doesn't have the British accent, but that didn't stop producers of the last two "Tomb Raider" movies from hiring Jolie.

Gemma Arterton: Following the international box office success of "Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters," it's not hard to imagine Arterton traversing the globe with a pair of handguns strapped to her thighs.

Alison Brie: An unconventional choice, indeed. This television star has captured the hearts of "Community" fans across the country with her quirky comedy, sexy photo shoots and freestyle rapping. And after the last paintball episode, in which she looked very Croftian, who's to say she can't portray one of the most iconic female action heroes ever to emerge from the digital world?

Adrianne Palicki: "Wonder Woman" didn't work out on television, but the actress has a shot on the big screen with Paramount's "G.I. Joe: Retaliation." The trailers certainly make one thing abundantly clear: Palicki looks good with a gun in her hand.

Emily Blunt: This English-born actress hasn't ventured into action territory just yet, but she's taking baby steps with a supporting role in "Looper" and another opposite Tom Cruise in the upcoming sci-fi flick "All You Need is Kill."

Rooney Mara: She doesn't look exactly like the Lara Croft that teenage gamers drool over, however, she doesn't much look like "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" either. She's proven herself adept at morphing into character -- and taking down men twice her size.

Allison Williams: Yes, this HBO "Girls" star would have to undergo some serious training for the role, but if the rebooted franchise -- like so many others -- starts with an origin story, Williams is just the right age to play a young Croft.

Gina Carano: She's beat down girls in the MMA ring and guys like Channing Tatum on the big screen, which makes her a perfect candidate to continue dishing out beatings as Lara Croft.

Kate Beckinsale: She's two years older than Angelina Jolie, but doesn't look a day over 30. And age didn't prevent this British beauty from carrying out complicated fight choreography in 2012's "Total Recall" and three "Underworld" movies.
