The Blaze’s Tomi Lahren and Doc Thompson mocked the Academy Awards with the liberal-bashing “Snowflake Awards” on Sunday night, honoring Michael Moore and Meryl Streep, among other Hollywood elite.
“Snowflake” is a derogatory term that conservatives use to describe liberals that has gained popularity since Donald Trump won the presidential election, sparking liberal outrage.
Moore picked up the award for “the best hypocrite,” but he was unable to accept the award in person because “sadly, it is Spam night at all nine of his homes,” so a custodian accepted the award in his absence.
A spoof in memoriam segment commemorated the deaths of Madonna’s career, while Streep was honored with the “lifetime achievement award.”
“The Snowflake Awards was established to honor notable hypersensitive citizens, those who, when subjected to the slightest pressures of life, begin to melt,” according to the show’s website. “For too long the entertaining societal contributions of these delicate celebrities were overlooked! Sadly, we were content to take them seriously instead of recognizing their greatest gift; a never-ending goldmine of mock-able material that helps us realize how wonderful our lives are!”
Lahren has emerged as a rising star among conservative media over the past few months, appearing on “The Daily Show,” “Real Time” and a variety of Fox News programs. She popularized the term “snowflake” during her “Final Thoughts” segment on TheBlaze.
