Tracy Morgan Gives Jimmy Kimmel Tour of Bronx Zoo After ‘Unusual Purchase’ With Walmart Settlement (Video)

“He recently came into a large monetary settlement and with that money, Tracy made what Guillermo and I thought was a very unusual purchase,” says Kimmel of the fake purchase

Tracy Morgan is the new owner of the Bronx Zoo — if you believe a “Jimmy Kimmel Live” sketch that aired on Tuesday.

The former “30 Rock” star, who is amidst a career comeback after it was derailed by a serious car crash last year, took the ABC late-night host and sidekick Guillermo on a tour of the zoo Kimmel said the comedian used his settlement cash from a lawsuit against Walmart to buy for himself.

“He recently came into a large monetary settlement and with that money, Tracy made what Guillermo and I thought was a very unusual purchase,” said Kimmel.

Morgan showed his friends the gorillas, flamingos and lions, all of which he says he got from Craigslist.

“I just got them off Craigslist, Craigslist has everything but you got to be careful who you deal with on Craigslist,” he said. “You can get a crazy lion on Craigslist.”

The visit with Jimmy Kimmel marked his first late-night talk show appearance since Morgan was seriously injured in a June 2014 traffic collision on the New Jersey Turnpike after a Walmart truck struck the vehicle in which he and others were traveling.

Recently, Morgan has waded back into entertaining, returning to his old “SNL” stomping grounds to host the show last weekend. As reported exclusively by TheWrap last month, Morgan will also join Ice Cube and Charlie Day in the upcoming comedy “Fist Fight.”
