Trevor Noah Mocks Sean Spicer’s Chewing Gum Addiction (Video)

“Daily Show” host also jokes about Spicer’s claim that unemployment “isn’t a number. It’s a feeling.”

After a heated start to his tenure as White House press secretary, Sean Spicer has become the subject of Trevor Noah’s segment “Profiles in Tremendousness.”

“The Daily Show” host offered up some strange tidbits about Spicer, like the fact that he apparently likes Orbit Cinnamon Gum almost as much as he hates Dippin’ Dots. Noah cited a New York Magazine article that said Spicer chews and swallows as much as 35 pieces of cinnamon gum a day, something that Spicer says his doctor told him wasn’t unhealthy.

“Is your doctor Donald Trump’s doctor by any chance?” asked Noah, referring to Dr. Harold Bornstein’s claim during the election that Trump, “would be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency.”

Of course, a profile on Spicer wouldn’t be complete without an exploration of his “alternative facts.” Noah went after Spicer’s attempts to defend Trump’s disregard of the current unemployment rate after the conclusion of Barack Obama’s presidency. Spicer said that unemployment “isn’t a number. It’s a feeling.”

“This guy would be the worst ESPN reporter ever,” Noah joked. “Ah, what a Super Bowl, Jim. Final score: Patriots-Falcons, feeling good in America!”
