Trevor Noah Mock’s Trump’s Complaints About Kurds and WWII: ‘President Bone Spurs’ (Video)

“The Daily Show” also looks at the impeachment inquiry drama

On Thursday, “The Daily Show” looked at — you guessed it — the latest twists and turns in the Trump impeachment inquiry drama, and the weird decision by Trump to abruptly pull U.S. forces out of Syria.

First though, Noah had some fun discussing how vice president Mike Pence has fastidiously avoided looking like he’s involved with anything connected to Trump’s attempts to pressure Ukraine into investigating Joe Biden. After showing a clip in which Pence spent minutes sidestepping an answer to very specific questions, Noah joked “Pence avoided that question like it was a woman with her ankles showing.”

Noah then moved to Trump’s decision to pull troops out of Syria, which has left America’s erstwhile Kurdish allies open to attack from Turkey. This week Trump justified his decision with the bizarre complaint that Kurds didn’t fight alongside U.S. troops on D-Day during World War II.

“To be fair, not helping in a war is one area president bone spurs has some experience with, but this logic doesn’t add up,” Noah joked, referencing Trump’s excuse for not serving in Vietnam.

There’s more, including yet another joke that Rudy Giuliani is a vampire, and a look at Trump’s possible conflicts of interest in Turkey. Watch the whole thing above.
