‘True Detective’ Trailer Places Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson in Hairy Situations (Video)

The upcoming HBO drama series releases its second trailer and teaser art

HBO’s new series starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson promises to send the men into something “deep and dark.”

“True Detective” brings the duo together to as Louisiana detectives chasing down the killer in a 17-year-old murder case and losing themselves in their obsession with the case.

On Monday, the premium cable network released the second trailer for the thriller and it reveals a grim style, macabre touches and plenty of skin. HBO also revealed new poster art. Both push its newly launched website darknessbecomesyou.com.

Anticipation is high surrounding the series written and created by novelist Nic Pizzolatto and directed by Cary Fukunaga (“Jane Eyre”). It also stars Michelle Monaghan (“Source Code”).
