Twitter Redesigns Home Page

Changes make search terms, trending topics more visible to users

Twitter homepage redesignTwitter has made some changes to the Twitter homepage.

The social networking site said Tuesday on its blog that it’s trying out some redesigned elements.

"Twitter’s homepage is a work-in-progress," the blog says. "Today, we’re testing a new design that bubbles up more of the information flowing through Twitter."

The new design puts "more dynamic content on the front page, revealing a sample of who’s here, what folks are tweeting about, and the big topics that they’re discussing," Twitter says.

An algorithm brings top tweets together on the homepage, while trending topics scroll across the top of the page. "Hovering over some of these trends will show a description explaining why the keyword is (or has recently been) popular," Twitter says.
