UTA has promoted eight agents to partner status, including Marissa Devins, Nancy Gates, Peter Goldberg, Ramses IsHak, Rena Ronson, Leslie Schuster, Michael Sheresky and Brent Weinstein.

“We are proud to recognize the outstanding contributions of Marissa, Nancy, Peter, Ramses, Rena, Leslie, Mike and Brent,” UTA’s managing directors David Kramer, Jay Sures and Jeremy Zimmer said in a joint statement. “Each of them has played a major role in innovating our expertise across a diverse range of practice areas as well as providing the 100% client focus that drives our agency. We are proud to have them join the UTA partnership.”

Devins is an agent in UTA’s television literary department, where she represents creators, showrunners and writers; New York-based Gates is co-head of the TV talent department; NY-based Goldberg is an agent at UTA-owned N.S. Bienstock, the market-leading broadcast news agency, where he represents broadcast journalists, hosts and other on-air talent in major U.S. markets and across national and international media; IsHak is an agent in the motion picture literary department; Schuster is a TV lit agent and head of the TV director department; Sheresky is an agent in the MP lit department; Ronson heads the UTA Independent Film Group, overseeing global film finance, film packaging and sales operations for the agency’s filmmaker, talent, producer and financier clients; and Weinstein is head of digital media, a department he helped to form in 2003 where he oversees the representation of UTA clients working in digital as well as venture funding, M&A work and other strategic advisory services for startups and Fortune 500 clients.

Devins, Gates, Goldberg, IsHak, Ronson, Schuster, Sheresky and Weinstein are among the nearly 200 agents working in UTA’s Beverly Hills and New York offices, and they join more than 30 other UTA partners working across the agency’s practice areas.

The promotions mark the latest milestone in UTA’s continuing expansion as one of the world’s largest talent & literary agencies.  The agency last month announced UTA Fine Arts, a new practice dedicated to contemporary fine artists.

UTA opened its new flagship Beverly Hills headquarters and New York offices in 2012, and in 2014 UTA acquired N.S. Bienstock, making UTA the global leader in news representation. The agency last year also significantly grew its New York, Los Angeles and Dallas-based consumer brand marketing firm United Entertainment Group with the addition of Edelman, a DJE Company, as a strategic partner and investor.
