“Basketball Wives: LA” has been renewed for fifth season, VH1 announced Wednesday.

“Basketball Wives: LA” season four saw Draya Michele, Malaysia Pargo, Brandi Maxiell, and Jackie Christie return to the court ready for drama.

And Queen Bee and executive producer, Shaunie O’Neal, joined the LA crew this season to try to keep the peace. Jackie brought in friend and basketball girlfriend, Mehgan James. Also joining the clique was wife of player Eddy Curry and Malaysia’s friend, Patrice Curry, as well as Draya’s friend, fashion designer and ex- girlfriend of Tyreke Evens, Angel Brinks.

Between the new personalities, major life challenges, and old resentments, even Shaunie soon realized that the LA ladies are a very challenging group. When her old time East coast buddy, Tami Roman, joined the cast, the “Basketball Wives: Miami/LA” cast divide was set in stone.

“Basketball Wives: LA” is produced by Shed Media. Executive producers for Shed Media are Pam Healey, Lisa Shannon, Sean Rankine, Mark Seliga and Amanda Scott. Shaunie O’Neal is an executive producer. Executive producers for VH1 are Susan Levison, Jill Holmes, Fernando Mills and Paula Aranda.
