‘The Voice’ Summer Tour to Hit 31 Cities Starting in June

This season’s winner, runner-up, and third place singers will join Tessanne Chin, Jacquie Lee, Will Champlin and Dia Frampton, among others

NBC’s “The Voice” is going on tour. The concert series will hit 31 cities starting on June 21 in San Antonio, Texas.

Currently, the roster of confirmed performers include Season 5 champ, Tessanne Chin, that season’s runner-up, Jacquie Lee, and fan-favorite Will Champlin. Also, Season 1 runner-up, Dia Frampton, is on board.

Additionally, this season’s winner, runner-up, and third place singers will also join the tour. And, an additional artist will be chosen in May by America via social media.

Tickets go on sale Thursday, April 17 at 10 a.m at thevoice.com/tour and aeglive.com. For the Indio, Calif. tour date, the tickets will go on sale on Friday, April 25.

This is the first time “The Voice” has launched an official tour. Fox rival “American Idol” has toured its fan favorites since its first season in 2002.

But last year, the “Idol” tour canceled several dates due to low ticket sales. So, the timing of this announcement from the NBC competition shows great confidence that its current popularity can fill seats at its 31 venues.
