The MTV Movie Awards invade Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater on Sunday, promising its standard array of movie stars, splashy sets and hopefully hilarious jabs from host Amy Schumer.

The golden popcorn statuettes are up for grabs by contenders that include Bradley Cooper, James Franco, Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt — but Best Kiss is arguably the franchise’s most coveted trophy.

“It didn’t even look like popcorn when I won it,” inaugural Best Kiss winner Anna Chlumsky told TheWrap on Friday, who swept the category with “My Girl” costar Macaulay Culkin in 1992. “It was a plastic film feel! I think it’s in my mother’s basement somewhere, I suppose I’ll have to win another one.”

Best Kiss is given to the year’s steamiest onscreen smooch and certainly reflects evolving tastes: same-sex kisses like Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger’s in “Brokeback Mountain” have been saluted, and 2014’s big winner was a triple kiss between Emma Stone, Jennifer Aniston and Will Poulter of “We’re The Millers.”
